Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency East Region is seeking an RFP Analyst to support account teams in marketing lines of coverage for consulting clients. The role focuses on data acquisition, RFP preparation, carrier negotiations, and client presentations, with a strong emphasis on analytics and process improvement.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 2 years’ experience in benefits brokerage or insurance, plus advanced Excel skills and effective communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Actuary, Mathematics or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Benefits Brokerage, Consulting, or Insurance preferred (Life & Disability focus).
• Intermediate MS Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, formulas).

Responsibilities

• Support underwriting and financial analysis for internal account teams and clients.
• Assist with data collection for RFPs, vendor questions and proposal prep.
• Track RFP processes from drafting to final decision.
• Validate renewals and proposals for accuracy.
• Utilize technology platforms to release RFPs and analyze proposals.
• Maintain quality service standards and organize workflow for the MMA team.
• Stay informed on evolving insurance market and regulatory changes.
• Help implement systems and processes to grow centralized marketing.
• Participate in special underwriting and operations projects as needed.
