Job summary

Apple Inc. RFIC Characterization and Validation Lead will head the RFIC validation and characterization team, setting strategy and guiding bring-up, characterization, and calibration for wireless SoCs in Apple wearables.

This hands-on role combines hardware and software responsibilities across pre-silicon to production test. You will own validation methodology, manage schedules, mentor engineers, and communicate risk to senior stakeholders while ensuring RF IPs meet performance targets in a

Qualifications

• BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• RF test development, hands-on debug, and validation through silicon bring-up.
• Technical leadership with cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong scripting and automation in Python (highly desired) and other languages.
• Hands-on experience with standard RF test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Own test plan development and bring-up execution with exit criteria.
• Plan and prioritize team work, resource allocation, and milestones.
• Mentor engineers, guide design reviews, and participate in hiring.
• Drive bring-up and validation of new wireless SoCs from first silicon.
• Establish flow between pre-silicon validation, post-silicon characterization, and ATE tests.
• Perform bench testing, characterization, and RF IP debug.
• Characterize RF performance metrics: EVM, phase noise, NF, ACPR, IP3.
• Automate measurements and analysis with Python scripts.
• Design and develop radio calibrations and calibration routines.
• Support RF calibration/test routines for mass production.
• Collaborate on board layout, test methodology, and calibration programming.
• Generate RF design verification, characterization, and test reports.
• Communicate status and risks to senior management.
