Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an RFIC Engineer for AI Satellites (Starmind) to develop cutting-edge RFICs for space and ground infrastructure. You will simulate RF front-end systems and collaborate with systems, firmware, and design teams to enable high‑performance, reliable space communications.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and 2+ years in RF/microwave circuit design; a Master’s/PhD is preferred. Experience with ADS/HFSS/AWR, Altium, and lab measurements is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years RF/microwave circuit design experience.
  • Master’s or PhD in RF/microwave engineering preferred.
  • Experience with linear/non-linear RF circuits.
  • Familiar with RF test equipment and measurements.
  • Knowledge of digital communication systems and modulation.

Responsibilities

  • Simulate/model RF front‑end systems with cross‑functional teams.
  • Derive RF hardware specifications for RF blocks.
  • Develop RF/microwave circuits, MMICs, boards and packages.
  • Evaluate and characterize prototypes and RF components.
  • Characterize and analyze full radio performance.
  • Assist in automated test equipment development for lab measurements.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing on production testing of RF avionics.
