Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an EDA Engineer (RFIC Engineering) to support and improve the IC design environment across analog/RF/mixed‑signal and digital silicon workflows. You will triage production issues, build lightweight automation, and maintain documentation, partnering with design teams, EDA vendors, and IT.

A strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, Linux, and scripting is required. The role focuses on reliable EDA tools, reproducible PDK usage, and productive design flows, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
• 2+ years of experience in EDA/CAD support, IC design flow, and verification infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day EDA/CAD workflows for RFIC and silicon engineering teams.
• Assist with PDK installation, qualification, and deployment support.
• Triage DRC/LVS/PEX and other issues with reproducible debug practices.
• Maintain runbooks, documentation, and onboarding materials.
• Build lightweight automation in Python, Tcl, shell, or Makefile.
• Contribute to QA tests for PDK updates and tool upgrades.
• Collaborate with design, IT, foundries, and EDA vendors to improve flows.
• Support configuration-management and data-management workflows.
