Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an EDA Engineer (RFIC Engineering) to support RFIC and silicon design environments, ensuring reliable EDA tools and reproducible flows across analog/RF/mixed-signal and digital silicon workflows.

You will partner with design teams, IT, foundries, and vendors to triage issues, automate workflows, and document solutions, while contributing to robust methodology and responsive support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
• 2+ years of experience in EDA/CAD support, IC design flow development, silicon design, verification, or CAD automation.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day EDA/CAD workflows for RFIC and silicon teams including tool launch and environment setup.
• Assist with PDK installation, qualification, and deployment for foundry processes.
• Triages DRC/LVS/PEX issues with reproducible debug practices and proper documentation.
• Maintain and improve tool launch wrappers, environment modules, and project templates.
• Build lightweight automation in Python, Tcl, Shell, or similar languages.
• Create QA tests for PDK updates and tool upgrades before deployment.
• Maintain runbooks and Confluence documentation for common EDA flows.
• Collaborate with design, layout, verification, IT, foundry, and vendor teams to resolve blocked flows.
• Identify recurring issues and turn fixes into durable flow changes and automation.
• Support configuration-management and data-management workflows as needed.
