Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. in Irvine is seeking motivated engineering students for a Summer/Fall 2027 RFIC Design Co-op. You will work on RF/microwave IC design, focusing on LNAs and RF switches for wireless applications, alongside experienced engineers.

You will gain hands-on experience in circuit design, simulation, layout, and lab testing. The position offers exposure to real product development activities, collaboration across teams, and an opportunity to strengthen practical skills in RFIC

Qualifications

Pursuing BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering with RF/microwave coursework.
Strong understanding of circuit theory (RLC, impedance matching).
Familiarity with RF/microwave concepts (gain, noise, bandwidth, stability).
Experience with CAD/simulation tools (Cadence Virtuoso, ADS, MATLAB).
Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
Must be onsite in Irvine for Co-op term.

Responsibilities

Assist design, simulation, and evaluation of RF building blocks (LNAs, RF switches).
Support schematic entry, simulations, and data analysis using CAD and RF tools.
Collaborate with engineers to debug issues and validate performance.
Prepare simulation results, plots, or reports for design reviews.
