Job summary

This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in circuit design, simulation, layout, and lab testing while contributing to real product development. Ideal candidates are pursuing BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering with RF coursework, proficient in CAD tools, and able to work onsite.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering with RF/microwave focus.
• Strong grasp of circuit theory (RLC, resonance, impedance).
• Familiarity with RF/microwave concepts from coursework or projects.
• Experience with CAD/simulation tools (Cadence Virtuoso, ADS, MATLAB).
• Good problem-solving, teamwork, and attention to detail.
• Available to work onsite in Irvine for the co-op term.

Responsibilities

• Assist design, simulate, and evaluate RF blocks like LNAs and RF switches.
• Support schematic entry, simulations, and data analysis with CAD/RF tools.
• Collaborate with engineers to debug issues and validate performance.
• Prepare simulation results, plots, and design reports for reviews.
• Review layouts and assist design documentation.
• Participate in RFIC lab testing using network/spectrum analyzers and scopes.
• Learn engineering best practices to ensure performance and cost efficiency.
