A leading immigration law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to focus on responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), and Notices of Intent to Revoke (NOIRs) related to family- and humanitarian-based immigration applications. This role provides legal oversight and support to both attorney and non-attorney team members, ensuring quality and consistency in legal filings. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in humanitarian immigration matters and a commitment to serving undocumented individuals navigating the U.S. immigration system.
Location
Duties
- Review, analyze, and prepare responses to USCIS requests including RFEs, NOIDs, and NOIRs.
- Provide legal escalation support and guidance to non-attorney RFE team members.
- Identify legal trends and adapt strategies to improve consistency and quality of submissions.
- Review and edit written RFE responses prepared by staff attorneys and support staff.
- Deliver onboarding and continuous legal training to staff attorneys and support personnel.
- Audit work product to ensure compliance and legal sufficiency.
- Communicate directly with clients to offer legal advice or resolve escalated matters.
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet case processing goals and legal service standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in family-based and humanitarian immigration law (e.g., VAWA, T-Visa, U-Visa, Medical DA, I-130, Adjustment of Status).
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active license in good standing with a U.S. state bar.
- Previous experience handling RFEs, NOIDs, and NOIRs strongly preferred.
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented and high-volume legal services environment.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications
Active bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction.
