Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a WI-FI ENGINEER, HARDWARE RELIABILITY for Starlink to analyze telemetry, debug hardware, and build tools to verify performance. You will work across teams to resolve issues before launches and contribute creative solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Based in Bastrop, TX, the role requires on-site work, extended hours, and occasional travel. Ideal candidates have hands-on hardware debugging experience and strong Python/R data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, RF engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, or other STEM discipline.
• 1+ years with digital or mixed-signal designs and lab tools (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, soldering).
• Networking basics including Ethernet and Wi‑Fi standards.
• 1+ years of data analysis in Python or R.

Responsibilities

• Analyze telemetry and logs; perform hands-on debugging to root cause and corrective action.
• Build and maintain tools to assess performance and reliability of Starlink hardware.
• Run internal betas and product launches to identify design issues before public launch.
• Collaborate across engineering, production, test, inventory, quality, supply chain, and customer experience.
• Contribute effort and leadership to solve complex problems under tight deadlines.
