Job summary

Centro Escolar University is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student to contribute to RF hardware testing efforts in a fast-paced environment. You will measure and validate the performance of LNAs, mixers, amplifiers and other RF components while developing automation to streamline measurements.

You will document methodologies, data, and test plans for review, and gain hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators. U.S.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in electrical/related field.
• Pursuing hands-on hardware development experience.
• Strong RF fundamentals: transmission lines, S-parameters, amplifiers, mixers, attenuators.

Responsibilities

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

• Measure and validate performance of LNAs, power amplifiers, up/down converters, filters, oscillators, and other RF hardware components.
• Write automation code to speed up and automate RF measurements.
• Document test plans, measurement methodologies, and data for review.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who have:

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program in electrical engineering, computer engineering, applied physics, or a related technical field.
• Passion for hardware development and experience working in fast-paced environments with hands-on design and development.
• Deep knowledge of basic RF concepts, including transmission lines, S-parameters, and RF building blocks such as amplifiers, mixers, and attenuators.
• Experience with Python and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience taking RF measurements using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, and similar equipment.
• U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status as required by U.S. Government space technology export regulations.

Bonus qualifications include:

• Knowledge of antennas and electromagnetic propagation.
• Experience with Software Defined Radios (SDR).
• Experience automating RF measurements.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base pay of $29.00 per hour.
