Job summary

Silicon Labs in Austin, TX is seeking an RF Validation Engineer to help validate wireless IPs for Zigbee, BLE, Wi‑SUN, and Wi‑Fi. You will work on pre-silicon tests, IP bring-up, and lab measurements across TX power, sensitivity, and modulation performance.

This role requires a BSEE/MSEE with 1 year in mixed-signal SoCs and hands-on experience with RF test equipment. You will collaborate with IP, FW, and Systems teams to deliver robust wireless silicon for IoT devices.

Qualifications

• BSEE or MSEE with 1 year industry experience in mixed-signal SoCs
• Experience with RF signal chains including LNAs, mixers, PAs, A/D and D/A
• Familiarity with wireless standards such as Bluetooth low-energy, 802.15.4, 802.11 Wi‑Fi
• Strong Python or high-level modeling language skills

Responsibilities

• Contribute to initial development of Zigbee, BLE, Wi-SUN, ZWave, MBus, and proprietary PHY configurations for Silicon Labs RF SoCs
• Perform pre-silicon testing utilizing block or chip-level test benches and FPGA emulation
• Bring-up and validate new Silicon Labs IP on silicon, providing cross-functional feedback
• Conduct lab measurements including RX sensitivity, frequency/baudrate/deviation tolerance, TX output power
• Support IC Design, Applications, FW, PTE, SQA, Systems, Modules teams with RF insights and data analysis
