Raytheon in McKinney, TX is seeking an RF Test Systems Engineer II to support STaRS Test Automation onsite. The role focuses on developing and maintaining test equipment and software for RF modules, CCAs, antennas, and power/subassemblies.

You will join a growing Test Automation team that partners with production and engineering to deliver reliable, cost-effective test solutions and continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 1 year in Automation Test Equipment/Unit Under Test (ATE/UUT) Test Systems Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in hardware and test software development, verification and production environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time RF Test Systems Engineer II located onsite in McKinney, TX supporting Surveillance & Tactical Radar Solutions (STaRS) Test Automation.

The Test Automation Department (TAD) is responsible for the design and development of test equipment, hardware and software for a wide range of products and customers.

The STaRS Test Automation section within TAD is a growing and highly motivated team who consistently provides quality on-time on-cost solutions to support external and internal customers seeking innovative and economical solutions for their product lines.

The section also supports change incorporation and obsolescence redesign efforts of various legacy systems in direct support of production capabilities.

What You Will Do

• Support troubleshooting of test equipment, circuit boards, cables, etc.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently and drive toward goals
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to deploy test solutions that meet technical and production test needs
• Support Lead Test Development engineer in the design, integration, verification, and validation of production test solutions for RF modules, RF CCAs, antenna subassemblies as well as power supplies/computing subassemblies
• Analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work
• Facilitate project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Typically requires minimum of 1 year experience with emphasis in Automation Test Equipment/Unit Under Test (ATE/UUT) Test Systems Engineering or equivalent Engineering experience
• Requires experience in both hardware and test software development, integration, verification, validation, and/or maintenance activities within production/manufacturing/product qualification environments
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required after day one. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with RF technology across Communications and Radar systems
• Experience with test software such as MATLAB, Test Stand, Test Executive, etc.
• Experience interpreting schematics, block diagrams, and requirements documents
• Experience communicating with the ability to present test findings clearly to engineering and leadership

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
