Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking an Interdisciplinary RF Test System Engineer to own full lifecycle of RF test systems for spacecraft avionics and payloads. You will lead hardware/software development, RF testing, calibration, and CAD design while acting as the Responsible Engineer for your test set.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in test plans for aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics systems.
• 5+ years designing and integrating test systems for hardware validation.
• Experience with RF path loss calibration and measurement uncertainty analysis.
• Proficient with RF test equipment: power meters, spectrum analyzers, VNAs, scopes.
• Ability to work across multiple disciplines in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, build, and sustain RF test systems for satellite modems, transceivers, BUCs, LNBs, and ground equipment.
• Support hardware and software development including RF subsystem design and characterization.
• Perform path loss calibration, link budget analysis, and end-to-end verification.
• Own BOM-level CAD design, rack layout, cable routing, and fixtures.
• Lead test planning, develop procedures, and manage readiness reviews.
• Drive cross-functional alignment on verification strategy and throughput optimization.
• Develop calibration procedures, models, and measurement budgets for RF test stations.
• Build data-driven models to inform design decisions and process improvements.
