Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. in Richardson, TX is seeking an RF test technician to support the Manufacturing and Test Engineering team on an ISO-compliant, class 100 cleanroom floor, including a 12-hour shift. The role requires cleanroom attire and adherence to safety protocols.

Visa sponsorship is not offered. The position demands 2+ years of RF testing experience, an AS degree in EE or equivalent, and proficiency with PXI, RF sources, spectrum analyzers, and related test equipment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of RF component testing experience.
• Versatility and ability to work on multiple tasks.
• Proficient with test equipment including PXI systems, RF sources, pulse generators, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, noise figure analyzers, power meters, power supplies, and digital multimeters.
• Knowledgeable in RF testing including S-parameters, noise figure, power, pulsed power, high power RF, TOI.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
• Operate as a team player with a positive attitude.
• Proficient in MES, FPS, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows-based software.
• Experience with Theory of Constraints, Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct DC and RF testing from DC to mmWave frequencies in an RF test environment.
• Setup and calibrate S parameters and power test stations following standards.
• Perform limited test setup troubleshooting and assemble fixtures.
• Interact with test engineers to support test setup improvements.
• Report test progress to supervisor and internal customers.
• Support training sessions and guide less experienced team members.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, process and equipment engineering to resolve problems and meet production schedules.
• Review SPC charts and react to out of control conditions.
• Use MES, FPS, MS Office to perform tasks.
• Identify areas for improvement to optimize safety, tool availability, cycle time, utilization and cost.
• Work overtime as needed.
