Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking a Technical Lead Test Technician - RF to join the 1st shift at Germantown, MD. You will modify complex electrical prototypes, perform RF tests, record results, and support manufacturing with a strong focus on safety and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in test/assembly environments.
• Ability to lead and make decisions in a fast paced setting.
• Experience with RF test methods and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in Jira, Costpoint, LabVIEW and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Modify complex electrical prototypes to fix functional deviations.
• Run standard tests on equipment and record results.
• Provide technical support to Manufacturing engineers on test equipment.
• Work from wiring drawings, specs and drawings to perform tasks.
• Create SOPs, safety rules and maintain compliance with safety regulations.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (5S, LEAN).
• Train new team members and communicate with Ops and Engineering.
• Track KPIs like FTFR, pass/fail and non-conforming parts.
