Job summary

DRS RADA Technologies, a subsidiary of Leonardo DRS, is hiring a Lead Test Technician - Radio Frequency for the 1st shift at Germantown, MD. This full-time, on-site role requires strong RF troubleshooting and mentoring of team members.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of relevant experience, an associate degree in a technical field, and proficiency with Excel and LabVIEW; Jira and Costpoint are a plus. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong decision-making and leadership skills.
• Experience handling small delicate components with ESD practices.
• Soldering and wire bonding experience.
• Experience with Excel and LabVIEW; Jira and Costpoint a plus.

Responsibilities

• Modify complex electrical prototypes to correct functional deviations.
• Perform standard testing processes and record results.
• Troubleshoot RF/electrical issues and support engineers.
• Create SOPs and safety rules for test processes.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (5S, LEAN).
• Train new team members and communicate across departments.
• Track KPIs and meet production OTD deadlines.
