Job summary

Spectrum Control in the United States is seeking an RF Automated Test Equipment Engineer to design and implement software-driven automated test systems for RF assemblies and power distribution units. You will build scalable, reliable software that interfaces with test equipment in an OO programming environment to support both development and production testing.

This hybrid role requires on-site presence with one remote day per week and offers a compensation range of $120,000 to $160,000

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field.
• 5–10+ years in RF test or test automation (range open).
• Proficiency in at least one OO language and RF measurement concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test software in C# .NET.
• Interface software with RF test equipment using VISA/IVI/SCPI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements.
• Develop automated tests for RF parameters such as Gain, P1dB, Noise Figure, IP2, and IP3.
• Operate and integrate RF test equipment (network/spectrum analyzers, power supplies, oscilloscopes).
• Use USB, Ethernet, RS-232, and GPIB interfaces.
• Maintain code with Git and document procedures.
• Provide training and support to engineers and production staff.
• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement of test systems.
• Leverage AI tools to assist in development and code reviews.
