NR Consultingis currently seeking a highly motivated RF Technician for an opportunity in Kent, WA – Onsite!

Location:

Kent, WA – Onsite

Anticipated Start Date:

Pay Range:

$24/hr. - $40/hr. on W2 plus Benefits

Job Overview:

We are seeking experienced RF Technicians to support telecommunications infrastructure projects in the greater Kent/Seattle area. This role is ideal for individuals with hands‑on experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and testing telecommunications, RF, power, fiber, and related equipment.

The position requires a willingness to travel, work outdoors in varying conditions, and safely climb towers, poles, and other structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, remove, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications equipment at cell sites and related facilities.
• Climb towers, poles, and other structures to install, reconfigure, and repair antennas, microwave equipment, and cabling.
• Install and test power, fiber optic, Cat5/Cat6, coaxial, and waveguide cabling.
• Install outdoor cell‑site systems, including equipment cabinets, conduits, and related infrastructure.
• Operate electronic test equipment such as cable testers, fiber testers, battery testers, and RF analysis equipment.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate microwave system data and assist with system configuration and repairs.
• Read and follow project documentation, including Scope of Work (SOW), installation specifications, and related technical instructions.
• Assist senior technicians with equipment rack-and-mount activities and installation, configuration, adjustment, and minor repairs of telecommunications and microwave systems.
• Follow applicable safety procedures and project requirements while working at elevated heights and on active job sites.
• Work collaboratively with project teams to complete assignments safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability and willingness to work at heights of up to 500 feet.
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, or alternate shifts when project requirements dictate.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 75+ lbs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn technical installation requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, punctual, safety‑conscious, and self‑motivated work style.
• Ability to successfully complete required pre‑employment screening and job‑related requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Tower Climbing Certification.
• RF Safety and Awareness Certification.
• CPR/First Aid Certification.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Previous experience with wireless telecommunications, RF systems, microwave systems, fiber, coax, or cell‑site construction.
