Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced RF Technician to support small cell and ODAS deployments in White Marsh, MD. You will install, align, test, and troubleshoot wireless network equipment for major carriers, working in field teams and at customer sites.

You will use OTDRs, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and related test gear to verify performance, assist with 5G upgrades, and contribute to warehouse staging as needed. This is an onsite contract role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting small cell networks.
• Experience mounting RF equipment, including antennas and RRHs.
• Experience with equipment from major OEMs such as Ericsson, Nokia, and Samsung.
• Experience performing PIM testing, sweep testing, and coaxial cable testing.

Job Description

Our client provides turnkey wireless telecommunications solutions supporting major carrier networks across the region.

The RF Technician will support small cell and ODAS deployments for major wireless carriers. Technicians work in teams of 2 to 4 and are responsible for the installation, alignment, testing, and troubleshooting of wireless network equipment. This role involves mounting and testing Remote Radio Heads (RRHs), antennas, and related RF equipment. No integration work is currently required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Installing, mounting, and aligning antennas, RRHs, and associated RF equipment.
• Performing testing and troubleshooting using OTDRs, power meters, spectrum analyzers, and other RF testing tools.
• Conducting PIM and sweep testing, including coaxial cable testing.
• Supporting small cell, rooftop, and ODAS deployments.
• Assisting with 5G upgrades, site modifications, warehouse pre-builds, and equipment staging.
• Interacting professionally with customers and site stakeholders throughout project execution.
• Supporting both field installations and warehouse staging activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting small cell networks.
• Experience mounting RF equipment, including antennas and Remote Radio Heads.
• Experience working with equipment from major OEMs such as Ericsson, Nokia, and Samsung.
• Experience performing PIM testing, sweep testing, and coaxial cable testing.
• Proficiency with OTDRs, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and related test equipment.
• Experience supporting rooftop wireless installations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating boom lifts or lift trucks.

• Team members typically meet at the shop before traveling to project sites.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of White Marsh, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $37.00/hr.
