Job summary

VTG is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specialized in C++ to join our team in Fort Meade, Maryland. The role covers the full life cycle for RF processing systems, requiring collaboration with systems and hardware engineers to ensure high performance and reliability.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining scalable software in C++, C, and Python; containerizing with Docker and Kubernetes; and developing automated tests and scripts. A TS/SCI with Poly clearance is required.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with TS/SCI with Poly required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline.
• Experience with Python and large Python-based systems.
• Experience with C and C++ development.
• Scripting skills (Bash, awk, sed, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with RF signals.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable mission systems.
• Develop software using C, C++, Python.
• Create Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters.
• Debug and fix defects across codebase.
• Collaborate with systems and hardware engineers.
• Assist with testing procedures and documentation improvements.
