Job summary

AT&T is seeking a seasoned RF engineering leader to govern RF design for broadband devices and ensure production-ready designs meet performance expectations at scale. You will partner with global OEMs to review architectures, validate decisions, and drive improvements across a broad portfolio.

This role demands a senior, data-driven engineer with extensive experience in Wi-Fi, mesh networking, gateway platforms, and FWA, capable of guiding cross-functional teams and influencing product roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of RF engineering experience in consumer electronics, broadband devices, or related industries.
• Hands-on experience designing, reviewing, or validating RF systems under power/thermal constraints.
• Strong understanding of RF testing methodologies and performance optimization.
• Experience with FCC/regulatory compliance and wireless certification processes.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, statistics, production testing, and quality systems.
• Experience reviewing RF schematics, PCB layouts, antenna designs, and system architectures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the RF technical lead for next-generation broadband devices (Fiber Gateways, Mesh Extenders, FWA).
• Review and approve OEM RF components to optimize performance, cost, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Audit RF architectures, schematics, layouts, antennas, and thermal designs.
• Assess RF designs for compliance with product requirements and regulatory standards.
• Evaluate OEM test results to ensure repeatability and conformity to specs.
• Provide technical guidance throughout the product lifecycle from concept to production readiness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing to mitigate risks.
• Drive improvements in RF validation processes and engineering quality.
