Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems division seeks a RF Systems Engineer for the Whisper program in Stafford, VA. The role focuses on an antenna-based RF network with command and control software to run systems globally.

Responsibilities include operations support, lifecycle engineering, test methods, and IPT collaboration. Travel up to 10% and 1st shift with rotating weekends are expected, with strong emphasis on safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with related RF experience is preferred.
• Electronics/ RF knowledge and hands-on test experience are required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Support Operations and Maintenance for large RF antenna platforms and systems.
• Provide lifecycle systems engineering for RF transmission and reception.
• Review and update system drawings and documents; perform troubleshooting and corrective actions.
• Evaluate customer requirements and design changes to meet them.
• Support IPTs and recapitalization efforts from requirements to testing.
• Operate RF test equipment and assist with field integration.
