Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to support Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division Dam Neck initiatives. The role focuses on design and integration of RF components and systems.

Requires ABET-accredited BS in engineering, 3+ years of RF experience, and an Active Secret clearance; travel and shipboard environment possible; extensive design, analysis, and documentation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Engineering BS degree from an ABET accredited school.
• At least 3 years of RF engineering experience.
• Experience with SSDS or shipboard systems.
• Ability to perform RF modeling on subsystems and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Design systems that’s utilize (not limited to) Network devices, switches, routers, antennas, RF components, amplifiers, RF filters, etc…
• Design and develop radio frequency distribution components, antennas, and feedlines in accordance with specifications and engineering standards for installations.
• Design, develop, test, and support various digital signal processing and radio frequency applications, such as RF path analysis, SDR applications, and analog and digital signal modifications.
• Perform independent analysis on obsolete and emerging hardware that assesses the impact of those scenarios on current systems.
• Provide acquisition recommendations based on independent analyses.
• Support the planning, designing, implementation, and integration of systems hardware components.
• Perform drawing development tasks and technical reviews.
• Perform gap analysis for various technical drawings, systems, and documents.
• Provide design modifications based on Commercial Off the Shelf (COTs) components for obsolete parts and for modernization initiatives.
