Rocket Lab is seeking an RF Engineer I/II to join the Space Systems team in Long Beach, CA. You will help develop radar and RF subsystems for space-based missions, perform analyses and simulations, and support hands-on testing and integration with multidisciplinary engineers. The role requires foundational radar knowledge, familiarity with orbital mechanics, and proficiency in MATLAB/Python.

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/aerospace engineering, physics, or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of radar systems and SAR/space-based radar.
• Basic orbital mechanics, spacecraft system awareness, and RF concepts.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Python for analysis and simulation.

Responsibilities

• Develop radar and RF subsystems for space-based applications.
• Conduct simulations, analyses, and hands-on testing of radar payloads.
• Support waveform design, link budgets, and orbital parameter considerations.
• Prepare test plans, documentation, and ICDs with multidisciplinary teams.
