This role is based at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX, and involves serving as a RF Systems Engineer for Communication and Tracking subsystems of the Gateway and Exploration programs. Responsibilities include writing and reviewing IRDs, ICDs, and VRs for spacecraft, analyzing communication link performance, participating in design reviews, performing interference and spectral analyses, and representing JSC in various meetings and collaborations.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, 2-5 years of relevant experience, strong analytical skills in RF communications, and knowledge of communication systems and standards such as CCSDS. Preferred qualifications include a degree in Electrical Engineering, experience with NASA processes, and familiarity with antennas, RF propagation, and programming languages like C/C++ and Python.
