Innova Solutions Inc. is seeking a RF Systems Engineer for a full-time, 12+ month contract in El Segundo, CA. You will design and verify RF/digital satellite communication systems, develop signal processing algorithms, and support integration from unit tests to in-orbit operations.

The ideal candidate has strong DSP and digital communications experience, 3+ years with Matlab/Simulink, and 5+ years in core theory; FPGA/ASIC exposure is a plus. Travel/onsite responsibilities apply in this role.

• 5+ years in core digital communications and signal processing theory.
• 3+ years in systems engineering (requirements, allocation, verification, architecture, trade design).
• 1+ years with FPGAs or ASICs.

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a RF Systems Engineer. Position type: Full-time, Contract Duration: 12+ Months, Location: El Segundo, CA.

Day to Day Responsibilities

• Designing and developing next generation RF and digital satellite communication systems
• Developing and verifying multi-rate, fixed-point signal processing algorithms
• Conducting performance analysis of signal processing models
• Performing waveform development and characterization
• Performing trade studies
• Supporting integration and test of our payloads and spacecraft from unit level through in-orbit operations
• Supporting HDL-level design and verification
• Performing detailed system design and verification activities
• Leading IR&D activities

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in Digital signal processing (DSP) / Digital Communications algorithms and techniques (equalization, turbo/viterbi coding/decoding, channel estimation, filter design, resampling theory, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience with Matlab or Simulink.
• 5+ years of experience in core digital communications and signal processing theory
• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering (requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design and trade design).
• 1+ years of experience working with FPGAs or ASICs.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with lab equipment (oscilloscope, waveform generator, spectrum analyzer).
• Experience leading teams of engineers.
• 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.

Pay Range and Benefits

Pay Range*: Between $85 per hour-$90 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
