Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Sector seeks an RF Algorithm Developer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on RF seeker signal processing concepts, MATLAB modeling, closed-loop simulation, and validation on radar hardware.

The candidate will present findings to government and prime contractors, and collaborate with the division on radar development and testing activities. Must reside in North Alabama or relocate; this is not a remote position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related technical field from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 4-8 years of experience in one or more experience areas, or 2-6 years with MS degree.
• Strong math skills and fundamentals in signals/systems, digital signal processing, tracking, or electromagnetics.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, or similar tools to implement math-based phenomenology for linear systems, DSP, tracking, or electromagnetics.

Responsibilities

• Develop RF algorithm concepts for RF seeker signal processing and operations.
• Create provisional MATLAB models, closed-loop simulations, and validate on radar hardware.
• Present progress and findings to government and prime contractor stakeholders; collaborate on radar development and testing.
