Job summary

Leidos Defense Sensors in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Test Engineer to design, integrate, and execute RF seeker test fixtures and reports. You will work on advanced radar hardware, simulations, and closed-loop HWIL environments within a collaborative engineering team.

You will present findings to government/stakeholders, expand familiarity with fielded systems, and contribute to radar development efforts in a high‑tech setting. U.S. citizenship and clearance eligibility required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in mechanical engineering or related field with 2+ years experience.
• Understanding of RF concepts including frequency, wavelength, impedance.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum/ network analyzers and signal generators.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a US citizen with eligibility to obtain/maintain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, integration, and execution of test fixtures, procedures, and reports for RF seeker capabilities.
• Maintain familiarity with fielded systems and investigate RF seeker technologies.
• Contribute to closed-loop simulations, HWIL integration, and system validation on radar hardware.
• Present progress and findings to government and prime contractor stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the division on radar development and testing activities.
