Job summary

Amazon Lab126 is seeking a Hardware Quality Engineering Manager to drive quality from concept through NPI and early sustaining phases. You will lead risk assessments, establish quality goals, investigate failures, and institute corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience with program and project management in a matrixed organization.
• 5+ years of quality assurance engineering experience or equivalent.
• Experience managing multiple projects across teams in a fast-paced environment.
• English proficiency with clear written responses.
• 2+ years of practice with statistical tools and quality program management.
• Familiar with NPI cycles and Product Development Process for consumer electronics.
• Understanding of electronic assembly processes in consumer electronics.
• Ability to use data analysis and forensics to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Understand technology and assess risk to prevent negative customer experiences.
• Guide cross-functional teams in Design for Quality initiatives.
• Ensure positive customer experience through standards and governance.
• Deliver solutions via data analysis and forensics with DMAIC.
• Communicate recommendations up to executive levels.
• Align stakeholders to deliver on quality policy.
• Create standards and milestones during NPI phases.
• Travel up to 30% domestically and internationally to on-site factories.
