Job summary

Raytheon is seeking a Production Test Engineer (PTE) in Texas for a hands-on manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes test process optimization, data analysis, and problem solving across Digital, Analog, and RF systems. You will ensure compliance with the prime hardware's technical data package and support program schedules and cost goals.

The position requires a STEM degree, 5+ years of relevant experience, RF test experience, and U.S. citizenship for security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
• Minimum 2 years experience related to RF test methods, troubleshooting, RF microwave product testing, engineering and or manufacturing
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
• Experience leading cross functional teams while maintaining budget and schedules
• Previous experience reading and interpreting drawings to perform measurements and troubleshoot electronic equipment, and use of test equipment hardware including: Network Analyzers, Data Acquisition (DAQ), DC Power Supplies, Electronic Loads, Oscilloscope, Digital Multimeters, Pulse Generators, and Signal Generators
• Experience with analog/digital power converter design (e.g., flyback, half-bridge, full-bridge, buck, boost) and high-voltage systems (>400V) or high-power systems (>10kW)

Responsibilities

• Provide test engineering support of the manufacturing areas. Interact daily with operations, quality, process/mechanical, and production control regarding most urgent immediate needs in test.
• Observe, analyze, and report test data, perform tests and utilize various engineering drawings, manuals, and other related documentation
• Perform a wide variety of technical efforts including process, test, troubleshoot, and repair Digital, Analog and RF equipment
• Dispositioning non-conforming material using root cause and corrective action analysis and working on corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence
• Assisting with driving Continuous Improvement, including process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate and reduce costs using Core / Six Sigma principles
