Times Microwave Systems in Wallingford, CT is seeking a Product Validation Engineer responsible for planning and executing design qualification and product evaluation tests on RF coaxial cables and connectors for military and commercial use. You will lead test campaigns, report results, and interpret specifications.

You will design test plans, analyze data for reliability and life expectancy, and collaborate with design, applications, and program management to meet schedules and budgets.

Competenze

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience.
• Experience with equipment/methods involved in environmental testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Mansioni

• Develop and execute detailed test plans for product validation and qualification campaigns, and report project status.
• Interpret engineering specifications and communicate risks or changes directly with the customer.
• Compile and organize test data into comprehensive test reports.
• Analyze product performance data to determine reliability and life expectancy.
• Work independently to achieve schedule, financial, and technical goals.
• Evaluate product performance after HALT and HAST testing.
• Design custom fixturing and develop test plans for new qualifications.
• Act as technical expert on RF, mechanical, and environmental testing.
• Perform failure mode evaluations on cables and connectors.
• Collaborate with design, applications engineering, PM and operations as needed.
• Provide technical advice to program managers during qualification negotiations.
• Maintain and service on-site test equipment.
• Evaluate test equipment capability and justify capital investments.
