Skyworks Irvine Design Center is seeking a Power Amplifier IC Design Winter/Spring 2027 Co-Op (January-June). You will learn and participate in the development of advanced, state-of-the-art radio frequency (RF) front-end modules, working with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborating with subject matter experts across Skyworks.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Commitment to working on-site in Irvine for the duration of the January–June 2027 co-op term.
• Strong desire to learn, grow and make an impact in PA design and RF engineering.
• Familiarity with amplifier operating modes and load modulation techniques.
• Familiarity with Digital Predistortion (DPD) and memory effects.
• Willingness to share knowledge and collaborate with others.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RFICs for multi-chip modules with experienced engineers.
• Design RF power amplifiers and run simulations using industry tools.
• Participate in design reviews and present findings.
• Perform laboratory testing with standard RF test equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design and technical issues.
• Collaborate across disciplines to advance projects.
