Job summary

Skyworks Irvine Design Center is seeking a Winter/Spring 2027 Co-Op in Power Amplifier IC design, offering hands-on exposure to RF front-end modules and state-of-the-art design tools. This on-site role supports experienced engineers and provides a pathway to future full-time opportunities.

As a graduate student in Electrical Engineering, you will contribute to RF power amplifier design, run simulations with Keysight ADS and HFSS, and participate in design reviews while developing industry-ready

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Commitment to working on-site in Irvine for January-June 2027 co-op term.
  • Strong desire to learn, grow, and make an impact in PA/RF design.
  • Familiarity with RF amplifier operating modes and load modulation concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop RFICs for multi-chip modules with senior engineers.
  • Design RF power amplifiers and run simulations with industry tools.
  • Participate in design reviews and perform laboratory testing with RF equipment.
  • Troubleshoot design and technical issues while collaborating across disciplines.
