Job summary

Skyworks is seeking a Winter/Spring Co-op Engineer to join our Advanced Development Team. You will work on GaAs and InP technologies for high-frequency RF applications, designing and evaluating amplifier blocks above 15 GHz while collaborating with device and process engineers.

The role offers hands-on experience in simulation, measurement, and optimization of RF/microwave ICs and power amplifiers, with a focus on innovation and technical excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering with strong fundamentals in RF/microwave physics.
Experience with RFIC/Microwave design and compound semiconductors is highly valued.
Familiarity with CAD tools for layout and circuit simulation.

Responsibilities

Design, simulate, and evaluate high-frequency amplifier and power amplifier building blocks using GaAs and InP technologies.
Develop and optimize RF circuit architectures for operation above 15 GHz.
Perform RF characterization and measurement of devices and circuits.
Analyze performance metrics such as gain, Psat, P1dB, PAE, NF, and stability.
Support CAD tools and design verification, correlate measurements with models.
