Northrop Grumman is seeking a RF Payload Mechanical Engineer in Dulles, VA (Level 1 or 2). 100% onsite; Top Secret clearance required for start; 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off. You will read RF diagrams, lay out RF equipment on spacecraft payload panels, design waveguides and cable networks, and ensure mechanical integrity across the system.

Collaboration with RF engineers and suppliers, CAD work in Creo, GD&T proficiency, and manufacturing documentation are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and eligibility for U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with CAD software and manufacturing documentation.
  • Familiarity with RF payloads, waveguides, and RF system layouts.
  • Ability to design, review, and release drawings per ICDs and manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

  • Read RF system block diagrams and lay out RF equipment on spacecraft panels.
  • Design of waveguide and coaxial cable networks.
  • Ensure RF equipment meets mechanical environments and system requirements.
  • Interface with RF engineers, suppliers, and program management; contribute to specifications.
