Job summary

Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking an Engineering Tech Support - Level 2 to join our team in Dulles, VA. This onsite role involves hands-on assembly of RF components and cables, with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

You will read engineering drawings, follow ISO processes, and coordinate with RF engineers and leads to ensure timely, accurate work while maintaining rigorous standards. Travel up to 25% may be required, with a flexible schedule to support mission-critical

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; two years of related experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electronics (voltage, resistance) and RF components (coaxial cables, antennas).
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top-Secret clearance.
• Willingness to work 2nd/3rd shift, weekends, and up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Interpret detailed work instructions, RF schematics, system block diagrams, and complex engineering documentation.
• Assemble electromechanical, electronic components, and spacecraft RF cabling/waveguide assemblies.
• Support the integration of RF hardware with attention to safety, quality, and schedule.
• Adhere to ISO processes, cleanroom protocols, and RF handling guidelines.
• Interact with RF engineers and leads to communicate work status and resolve issues.
• Maintain flexibility to support off-shift work and travel up to 25%.
