Job summary

Henkels & McCoy, Inc. in Washington, DC seeks an RF Installer with 1+ year of structured cabling experience to join our team at a customer site. Install RF hardware, test systems, and uphold safety standards on-site in the DC Metro area.

The role requires the ability to operate RF test equipment, install grounding, and coordinate with Project Managers. Local candidates only with reliable tools are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in structured cabling or field service
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in electronics or telecommunications preferred
• Experience with RF system installation, telecommunications, or field service work
• Knowledge of cabling standards (fiber, coax, Cat5/6), grounding, and RF safety protocols

Responsibilities

• Install, align, and secure RF antennas, transmitters, receivers, cabling, and associated hardware
• Perform RF system testing, troubleshooting, calibration, and validation to ensure optimal performance
• Install grounding, surge protection, and weatherproofing components in alignment with safety codes
• Operate RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and SWR meters
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, FCC regulations, and company safety standards
• Provide technical support to customers or internal stakeholders during and after installation
• Identify installation issues and recommend technical solutions to improve reliability and performance
