Job summary

NXP Semiconductors in California is hiring a senior test engineer to develop and optimize production, qualification and characterization test programs for WLAN, Bluetooth, and UWB SOC devices using ATE equipment. You will design, develop and release tests, debug yield and performance issues, and contribute to DFT innovations.

The role requires a strong programming background (C++, Java, Visual Basic), expertise in RF/mmWave testing, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor of Science degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience.
• Strong communication and problem solving skills.
• Self-driven, able to take ownership and initiative of all project aspects while working independently and with the entire team.
• Strong programming background (C++, Java , Visual Basic).
• RF and mmWave testing experience a big plus.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop production, qualification and characterization test programs for WLAN, BT, and UWB system on a chip (SOC) devices on ATE (Automatic Test Equipment).
• Test development from design kick-off to production release.
• Debug design and process related yield and performance problems.
• Develop new DFT concepts and test techniques to improve test efficiency and reduce cost of test.
• Collaborate with Design, Systems, and Software teams to drive RF/analog test methods and device design implementations.
• Work across product lines to drive new DFT and Test Engineering approaches within the group and across the company.
