Job summary

IBM Research in Yorktown Heights, NY seeks a Research Scientist to advance RF/mixed-signal packaging for quantum computing applications. You will develop single-chip and multi-chip modules, design packages for RFICs, high-speed interfaces, and high-density interconnects, and perform EM simulations and SI/PI analyses.

Collaborate with IC and system designers from concept to bring-up and test, with hands-on lab work and a background in communication theory or quantum computing considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong background in RF/microwave engineering.
• Familiarity with state-of-the-art packaging technologies.
• Experience with HFSS, ADS, Cadence Allegro, or similar tools.
• RF/Mixed-Signal Package Design: EM/SI/PI experience.
• Module implementation of RF/analog/mixed-signal packaging (2+ years).
• Background in communication theory or systems or quantum computing is a plus.

Responsibilities
