Job summary

IBM Research in Yorktown Heights is seeking a Quantum Characterization Engineer to design, develop, and test quantum hardware using the latest technologies across quantum engineering, microfabrication, and packaging.

You will apply expertise in microwave circuit engineering, mechanical and thermal engineering, and quantum control to deliver high-quality hardware solutions and contribute to EDA tool development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Doctorate Degree preferred.
• Experience designing, developing, and testing Quantum hardware using quantum engineering principles.
• Familiarity with yield analytics, electrical test, wafer-scale characterization.
• Test engineer skills with microwave test and semiconductor device test.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test Quantum hardware solutions using the latest technologies.
• Apply expertise in Microelectronics process development, Microwave circuit engineering, Mechanical/ Thermal engineering, Quantum control, and classical electronics.
• Test and optimize systems architectures, including microwave test and semiconductor device test.
• Collaborate on chip design and layout, and apply modeling to drive innovative solutions.
