Job summary

Mercury Systems in Oxnard, CA, is seeking a skilled RF Test Technician to support defense and aerospace programs. You will perform RF/microwave measurements, tuning, and functional testing on semiconductors and assemblies, using precision lab equipment.

This role requires hands-on tuning, test procedures, documenting results, and maintaining calibration. A strong DC theory understanding and precise workmanship are essential, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• RF and Microwave module testing experience (2+ years).
• Hands-on RF/microwave tuning using stubs.
• Electrical measurements: return loss, insertion loss, gain, noise figure, IMD, harmonics.
• Understand DC theory (Ohm's Law).
• Follow test instructions and procedures.
• Read assembly drawings and electrical schematics.
• Work under a microscope with manual dexterity.
• Experience with lab test equipment: VNAs, RF sources, spectrum analyzers, power meters, DMMs, basic tools.
• Willing to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Tune, test and troubleshoot microwave devices 20MHz-20GHz.
• Perform RF/Microwave tests with lab equipment.
• Work from schematics, instructions, drawings.
• Record and organize test results; communicate status.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment.
• Other duties as needed.
