Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electronics Technology, PCB Design, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Two to five years of relevant PCB design experience, preferably including RF/microwave or high-speed digital layout.
• Demonstrated proficiency with ECAD tools (Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar) and experience working within a PDM/PLM system.
• Solid understanding of controlled-impedance design, stack-up construction, and RF layout practices.
• Ability to manage multiple design tasks concurrently with minimal day-to-day direction.

Responsibilities

• Research, recommend, and deploy new layout and schematic capture software tools.
• Collaborate with PCB housings to understand capabilities and deploy DFM internally.
• Independently perform schematic capture and full PCB layout for RF/microwave, digital, and mixed-signal boards.
• Design and manage controlled-impedance transmission lines per RF requirements.
• Route high-speed traces while managing crosstalk, EMI, and signal integrity.
• Generate fabrication data packages and review for DFM compliance.
• Perform DRC/ERC checks and resolve layout violations.
• Coordinate with fabricators and assembly houses on stack-up and manufacturability.
• Process ECOs, maintain revision control, and manage libraries within PLM/PDM systems.
• Support bring-up, debug, and rework of prototype boards with engineers.
• Mentor other staff on layout practices and documentation quality.
