Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Co-Op in Hudson, NH for July–December 2027. You will support RF/Microwave system design, manufacturing, and qualification, gaining hands-on experience across concept through detailed design.

You will create 2D layouts and 3D models in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, aid BOMs/ECRs, and collaborate with Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum GPA 3.1; transcripts may be requested during application.
• Basic understanding of heat transfer and thermal management principles.
• Familiarity with conventional and advanced manufacturing methods, including additive manufacturing.
• Experience with 2D or 3D CAD tools.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with standard documentation and presentation tools.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Support electromechanical engineering from concept to detailed design and analysis, including product/fixture/cable designs and engineering drawings.
• Create and maintain 2D layouts and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Help structure Bills of Material (BOMs) and support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs/ECOs).
• Contribute to documentation required for procurement, assembly, verification, and validation.
• Assist with machine shop and manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams including Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement.
• Communicate design concepts and technical documentation to internal and external stakeholders.
