Job summary

RTX in Andover, MA is seeking a college intern to join the RF engineering test teams in the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department. You will perform measurements on GaAs and GaN devices, assemble test systems, and use software to control equipment.

This on-site program offers hands-on learning in RF/microwave techniques, access to PNAs, VNAs, RSAs, and LabVIEW/Python tools, with opportunities to contribute to defense-related projects.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a STEM major.
• Must have a minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship.
• Preferred: RF/microwave, Analog, Digital Electronics, Circuit Design or Analysis, Electrical Components, Electromagnetics
• Lab experience specific to RF/microwave device and circuit measurements
• Knowledge of electrical circuit design, analysis and troubleshooting using common lab equipment.
• Experience with Python, Labview, Keysight ADS, HFSS, Cadence Virtuoso, MATLAB, CST, Mentor Graphics’ Expedition, AutoCAD, TCAD, C++, Java, JMP

Responsibilities

• Perform RF/microwave/millimeter-wave measurements on GaAs and GaN devices, modules and MMICs
• Perform fixtured and on-wafer probe measurements
• Assemble RF/microwave/millimeter-wave test systems
• Use software to control test equipment and plot test results
