Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks a seasoned Manager of RF & Microwave Design Engineering to lead SSPAs and space-grade modules. You will guide a multidisciplinary team, shape architectures, and drive concept-to-hardware execution for mission-critical defense and space systems.

The role requires 15+ years in RF/microwave, strong lab skills, and U.S. citizenship with clearance eligibility. You will collaborate across Teledyne’s portfolio and contribute to strategic technical direction.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in the microwave/RF industry.
• BSEE; Advanced degree (MSEE) is a plus.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary RF/Microwave design team developing SSPAs and multifunction modules for defense and space applications.
• Oversee architecture definition, chain analysis, and frequency planning for complex RF systems.
• Guide the design of RF components using tools such as ADS, MWO, HFSS, Sonnet, Spice, or Cadence.
• Evaluate and select active/passive devices including LNAs, PAs, filters, mixers, multipliers, oscillators, and synthesizers.
• Direct prototype builds, hardware layout, tuning, characterization, and performance verification.
• Manage personnel development, technical reviews, and cross-functional execution from concept through production release.
• Lead PDR/CDR/PRR reviews and present technical findings to customers and internal leadership.
• Support proposal development and technical strategy for new business opportunities.
• Champion technology trends and SWaP improvements to maintain industry competitiveness.
