Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking a Manager of RF Engineering to lead development of advanced RF/microwave products and subsystems within the Signal Solutions line. You will provide technical leadership, drive design reviews, and guide a team from concept through production, shaping architectures and reusable techniques.

The role emphasizes RF receiver/tuner architecture, circuit-card development, simulation, integration, and problem resolution, with strong leadership and cross-functional partnership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required; MS preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in engineering leadership or people management.
• Experience developing RF/microwave hardware at component/circuit/card/subsystem levels.
• Strong understanding of RF receiver/tuner architectures and signal-chain design.
• Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for RF receivers, tuners, and RF/microwave subsystems across programs.
• Lead architecture trades, frequency planning, and RF performance analysis.
• Mentor engineers across levels and drive reviews, design, and verification.
• Manage multi-project resources, budgets, and schedules with program teams.
• Collaborate with Systems, FPGA, Embedded Software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams.
• Improve reusable RF architectures and design practices across programs.
