Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Rolling Meadows, IL seeks an experienced Test Technician in Microelectronics to support RF hardware for high‑reliability defense applications. The role focuses on testing, tuning, and extensive troubleshooting of RF circuits and assemblies under a microscope.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on RF test experience, be able to read schematics, and work with vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other precision gear.

Qualifications

• Strong RF test and troubleshooting skills across RF devices.
• Ability to read schematics and data sheets for debugging.
• Experience with precision measurement equipment and microscopes.
• Familiarity with SAP or ERP/MES for recording results.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and calibrate RF test equipment to test circuits and assemblies.
• Execute test procedures and measure RF performance parameters across bands.
• Troubleshoot RF hardware at circuit and component level under a microscope.
• Support tuning and optimization to meet specs.
• Review schematics and data sheets to perform test and debug activities.
• Document results in SAP/ERP systems and create quality records.
