Job summary

MACOM, a global leader in RF and microwave semiconductors, seeks a Mechanical Product Engineering Intern in Lowell, MA. You will work with senior engineers on fixtures for RF/microwave components.

During 12 weeks, you’ll gain hands‑on experience with SolidWorks, 3D printing, fixture design, fabrication and test, plus mentoring and poster sessions. Requirements: enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical Engineering; SolidWorks experience preferred; ability to work independently and stay

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering.
• SolidWorks experience preferred; other CAD software acceptable.
• Ability to work independently with limited direction.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, building, testing, and evaluating fixtures for RF microwave components.
• Work with senior engineers and gain hands-on experience.
• Participate in a 12-week program with mentoring and project milestones.
• Present at a Poster Session and receive formal feedback.
• Learn SolidWorks, 3D printing, fixture design and testing.
