Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a hands-on RF Lab Technician to build, calibrate, and maintain RF test environments in support of Wireless SoC development. The role emphasizes precise setup, documentation, and reliability in daily lab operations.

You will perform RF setup and calibration using VNA instruments, build and tune test fixtures with attenuators, splitters, and SMA cables, and help engineers modify configurations while ensuring proper signal routing and data

Qualifications

• Experience in lab operations and technical support.
• Hands-on experience with RF setups and test equipment.
• Experience calibrating RF setups using VNA.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Experience with lab management software (Excel or similar tools).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of lab safety procedures and proper equipment handling.

Responsibilities

• RF Setup & Calibration: RF setup and calibration activities to verify test integrity.
• Build and bring up RF test setups using attenuators, splitters, SMA cables, and RF equipment.
• Calibrate RF setups using Vector Network Analyzers (VNA).
• Verify proper signal routing and test configuration before use by engineers.
• Assist engineers with test setup changes and troubleshooting.
• Lab Operations & Equipment Management: Manage lab equipment and inventory to ensure availability.
• Track and organize boards across projects.
• Maintain inventory records using lab management tools such as Excel.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of sensitive RF gear.
• Compliance & Safety: Manage calibration schedules and ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate servicing and calibration of equipment as needed.
• Maintain lab safety standards and proper handling procedures.
• Support documentation for audits and compliance tracking.
