Job summary

Horiba Instruments Inc. in Reno, NV, seeks an experienced Radio Frequency Hardware Engineer to develop and qualify RF data-acquisition hardware for high-speed voltage-current-impedance measurements in semiconductor processing.

You will design RF circuits, run simulations, prototype and test in the lab, collaborate with PCB designers, and produce documentation and design verification reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required; Master’s/PhD preferred.
• Minimum 5 years in RF data acquisition or RF power-control hardware design.
• Proficient in RF simulation/design tools (Comsol, Cadence, Ansys, SPICE).
• Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (spectrum/network analyzers, signal generators).
• Familiar with RF/high-speed PCB layout; Mentor/Cadence schematic capture and PCB layout preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design RF circuits, probes/sensors and systems for high-frequency RF data acquisition.
• Conducts simulation, analysis, and modeling of RF circuits using Multiphysics, CAE or other simulators (Comsol, Cadence, Ansys, SPICE).
• Prototype, test, and validate RF hardware designs in laboratory environments.
• Collaborate with PCB designers to ensure RF layout guidelines are followed for optimal performance.
• Generate documentation including schematics, PCB layout guidelines, test procedures, and design verification reports.
